Nearest beaches to Uzumlu are at Calis Beach 15km (9miles) the long narrow arc of dark sand and shingle beach is lined with sun loungers and sun shades and extends round a broad bay with sheltered waters. The beach area is backed by a pedestrian promenade with grassy verges and small trees which is lit at night. Turtles lay eggs in the sand at certain times of the year which are protected.
