Property description:
The property sits on a plot of land with three levels, the first level has the
entrance gate and road, a sitting area, flower beds and the pool room, the
second level the house, sitting areas and the swimming pool and the third
level a gravelled area planted with mostly fruit trees.
The house is approached through a quaint private road that just serves two
houses. The road leads straight into an iron decorated stone wall and gates
that front of the property.
The entrance to the property is through a wide impressive iron gate that
leads to a spacious red paving stones area which can be used for either sitting
or car parking. This area is surrounded on one side by a flower bed and
the other side by a gravelled area with mature trees and there is a stone
staircase that leads to a closed pool service room which contains brand new
pool equipment and has room for additional storage.
Beyond the red paving area , there is a pleasant sitting area overlooking the
forest that's paved with local stone and a wide very impressive marble staircase
with classical stone finish balustrade that leads to the house.
The entrance of the house is paved with marble and on the side there is another
stone paved sitting area by the forest with classical stone finish balustrades
that overlook the lower level. This area leads to a local stone staircase
with flowerbeds to the upper level garden area which is gravelled and
has been recently planted with fruit and other types of trees.
At the middle level there also is a stone paved pathway that goes behind
the house and leads to the swimming pool area.
The entrance porch has marble floors and is covered with a red tiled roof
and bordered with classical stone finish balustrades.

Location:
The village of Uzumlu is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on a plateau 500m above sea level surrounded by pine clad mountains. 18km (11 miles) fromFethiye the main market town of the area, with its magnificent marina, shopping and nightlife, 30km (18 miles) from the beaches and lagoon at Oludeniz and 72km (44 miles) east of Dalaman International airport. Uzumlu village literally translated means 'grape yard' or 'place of the grape' and shares its plateau location with the neighbouring village of Incirkoy (fig village). The village itself is largely untouched by development and retains much of its traditional Turkish charm and lifestyle. Being some 500m above sea level the area enjoys pleasant summer night temperatures and as it's name suggests you will see many grapevines growing in all areas around the village. Produce of the area includes grape-juice, vinegar, olives, olive oil, tobacco, fig products and of course wine. There is also an active local weaving industry. Perched 400m above the village of Uzumlu lies the ancient Roman/Lycian city of Cadianda with monuments dating back to the 5th century B.C. Visitors to Cadianda can explore the ruins of a temple and angora, stadium, baths and theatre and enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Nearest beaches to Uzumlu are at Calis Beach 15km (9miles) the long narrow arc of dark sand and shingle beach is lined with sun loungers and sun shades and extends round a broad bay with sheltered waters. The beach area is backed by a pedestrian promenade with grassy verges and small trees which is lit at night. Turtles lay eggs in the sand at certain times of the year which are protected. Some water sports available.
